A staunch defender of trademarks and champion of entrepreneurs, Cynthia Mason has over 13 years of experience exclusively in the field of protecting trademarks. Cynthia is a lawyer and a registered trademark agent, as well as an entrepreneur.

In 2014, Cynthia launched Mason PC, a boutique law firm, to help entrepreneurs and businesses protect their marks. She is passionate about helping new businesses grow and helping established businesses launch new products or services. Many of her clients today have been with Cynthia throughout her career, trusting her to protect their trademarks. Cynthia is also often asked to consult for small legal firms, sole practitioners and international law firms, providing a unique and formidable depth of knowledge and experience in protecting trademarks.

Prior to launching Mason PC, Cynthia gained extensive experience working at two national full-service law firms advising clients on the legal aspects of developing and protecting brands in Canada and abroad. Her work on behalf of clients has included legal clearance of new names and logos and registrations with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO). Acting on behalf of her clients, she has negotiated and drafted third-party agreements, including license, transfer and supplier agreements. Cynthia has a successful history of advocating on behalf of clients in trademark disputes before the Federal Courts and Trademarks Opposition Board (TMOB).
